Ambassadors of Rock took over Hard Rock Cafe New York last night, as Kenny Chesney brought down the house for one incredible and intimate show, bringing his contemporary-country-meets-island-vibe tunes to a grateful audience of very lucky fans. Even better, the show directly benefited a great charity called PLAN!T NOW – an organization that empowers coastal residents to mitigate disasters in severe storm and hurricane-prone regions by being prepared.
From the outset, everyone knew it was going to be a special evening, as show opener Uncle Kracker set about creating a mood that everyone could get down with. All it took was one listen to the initial chords and verse of his first song, and we knew this Detroit boy brought the goods, preparing the gathered for Kenny and a night of great music.
Once Kenny hit the stage, all bets were off, as he launched into hit song after hit song, wowing everyone with his extensive catalog and his shear showmanship. For many people, Kenny’s music is the soundtrack to their lives, and last night proved why, as his honest lyrics and sun-soaked songs brought the crowd to their feet and their voices to the chorus, in celebration of life, music, and Ambassadors Of Rock.
