Santiago, Chile, December 19, 2012 – From London, New York and Hollywood, CA, to Dubai, Mumbai and Hong Kong, Hard Rock International has taken the world by storm – and now the famous brand makes its debut in Chile!  Hard Rock International today announced the opening of its first cafe location in the heart of Chile’s capital and bustling metropolis of Santiago.  Located in Costanera Center, the largest shopping center in Chile, the new Hard Rock Cafe Santiago will undoubtedly be a must-see for both visitors and locals.

The 1,000-square-meter cafe includes seating for 287, an upscale contemporary bar, live concert space that will feature Santiago’s unique local music scene, outdoor dining area and Rock Shop.  Memorabilia from Hard Rock’s iconic collection adorns the walls of Hard Rock Cafe Santiago, including items from legendary musicians from around the world, as well as top artists from the region.

Guests will be able to see a t-shirt worn by Beto Cuevas in his video “Vuelvo”. Cuevas is a son of Santiago who first gained fame as the frontman for Chilean rock band La Ley and then went on to success as a solo artist and actor. The cafe’s collection also includes Shakira’s mirrored black slinky cat-suit she wore for the televised performance of her hit songs on the US version of “Dancing With The Stars.”  Also on display is a Gibson Diablo SG built especially for and played by legendary Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi. Other key memorabilia items featured include Jimi Hendrix’s bell belt, an embroidered shirt worn by Elvis Presley, and much more.

The Santiago cafe’s Rock Shop offers rock ‘n’ roll-inspired items, as well as collectible Hard Rock Cafe merchandise in its exclusive retail location.  This Santiago-specific merchandise can only be purchased at this location, which offers an exclusive design quality that enhances each item’s appeal.  Fans can also acquire Hard Rock’s much-coveted signature pins.
