Imagine There's No Hunger helps fight childhood hunger and poverty worldwide through grassroots solutions that secure basic rights to food, water, land, jobs, and credit. Hard Rock has partnered with WhyHunger, and incredible organization, and Yoko Ono Lennon, who has graciously allowed us to use John Lennon's likeness and words for this very worthy campaign. Imagine There's No Hunger is very near and dear to our hearts, as we feel that no child should go hungry, that everyone deserves the right to food.
On Nov. 19, we held the official launch event for Imagine There's No Hunger at Hard Rock Cafe New York in Times Square. Not only did we take over the marquee above the Cafe, but Imagine took over both the NASDAQ and Reuter's boards, as well. At precisely 1:00 PM, John Lennon's "Imagine" played all over Times Square, as interpretive dancers moved with grace and style throughout the crowds. Yoko Ono was joined on the marquee by legendary rapper Darrell "DMC" McDaniels and Hard Rock CEO Hamish Dodds.
We invite you to explore our Philanthropy pages to find out more about what we have accomplished and are still trying to accomplish around the world.
