Man, it must be nice to be Sammy Hagar. Not only is he one of the hardest working guys in rock for the past 40 years, but he's an extraordinarily successful businessman, too. Now, those two things are usually mutually exclusive, but in Sammy's case they go hand-in-hand. From his solo success in the '70s and '80s to his chart-topping work with Van Halen (or Van Hagar, as many like to call that incarnation of the band) to Chickenfoot, his new supergroup, Sammy just keeps going and going.
On top of all that, he has also shepherded his Cabo Wabo brand of tequila to alcohol ubiquity, building it up into a brand you can shoot or sip the world over. Well, now he's embarked on another exhilarating venture, this time into the world of rum. Specifically, rum inspired by his love of Hawaii. So, what better place to kick off a media blitz for a world-renowned rocker and his Hawaiian rum than Hard Rock Cafe Honolulu? No better place, that's what. Sammy held court with a bunch of media types (or a bunch of lucky people, as we like to call everyone who was there), hanging out for interviews, chats, and just a general cavorting (cavortation?) with those in attendance. We want some of that rum. And we want to hang out with Sammy and help him drink some of that rum. Like we said, it must be nice to be Sammy Hagar. You rock, sir!
