Hard Rock's month-long March On Stage concert series roared through Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas on the Strip this week, with legendary surf guitarist Dick Dale ripping up the stage like only he can. The "King of the Surf Guitar" knows how to play the guitar, that's for sure. If you don't know who he is, then you probably know his song "Misirlou," which was used prominently in the Pulp Fiction soundtrack. Jimi Hendrix dug Dale's playing. Guitar virtuosos everywhere probably wouldn't be shredding guitars quite the same without Dale's asthetics, without his pushing of the instrument further than anyone thought it could or should go. In the '50s he wanted more volume, more reverb, more textures, more everything. In case you can't tell, we love Dick Dale.

In support of March On Stage's North American charity, Musicians On Call, Mr. Dale signed a badass white Epiphone guitar and put it up for silent auction, with all money raised going to support music therapy in hospitals around the country.

We just wanted to thank The King of the Surf Guitar for hitting up the stage at Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas for March On Stage, the fans for making it one helluva show, and the staff for facilitating such a great night. You all rock!
