That's right. You heard that correctly. The one and only Sir Paul McCartney will be headlining the closing night, Sunday, June 27, of Hard Rock Calling 2010! A true living legend, McCartney's return to the stage at Hyde Park follows last year's surprise appearance with Neil Young at Hard Rock Calling, when the pair dueted on The Beatles "A Day In The Life". Yeah, it was awesome.
Though he, of course, hails from Liverpool, McCartney claims London as his home, so playing for his hometown crowd is going to definitely be one of the highlights of the summer for Londonites of all ages. Sure to rock out his biggest Beatles hits and his incredible solo work, with the addition of Paul McCartney, Hard Rock Calling 2010 is already set to be the festival to go to this summer. Opening the weekend in true Hard Rock style will be The Hives, The Gaslight Anthem, Wolfmother, Ben Harper & Relentless7 and headliner Pearl Jam.
