Hard Rock International’s global 2010 March on Stage concert series will launch this week and continue throughout the month, helping to raise much needed funds for charities worldwide. Iconic and emerging artists will come together at Hard Rock locations around the globe, generously donating their time and talents in support of the greater good.
Hard Rock will donate proceeds from March on Stage events in North America to Musicians on Call, an organization founded with the mission of bringing live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities. In addition, March on Stage events throughout Europe will benefit Bombay Teen Challenge, an organization committed to improving conditions for women and children in Mumbai, India.
This year, Hard Rock Cafe locations will show their “Rock ‘N’ Soul” by hosting March on Stage events featuring top artists including: CMA “Best New Artist” award-winner Darius Rucker, Billboard Music Award-winner Lifehouse, music chart toppers Ocean Colour Scene, James Walsh of Starsailor, Arno Carstens, moe., Barenaked Ladies, Saving Abel and more, to rock out for fans across the globe.
Additionally, limited-edition March on Stage merchandise will be sold at Hard Rock locations around the world and on www.hardrock.com with proceeds benefiting the charities, including the 2010 March on Stage collectible pin, which resembles a black guitar with green stars and gold lightning bolts on the body, and Hard Rock’s logo atop the strings. 15 percent of the retail price of the limited-edition pin will be donated to the benefitting charities.
