Hard Rock Cafe Boston teamed up with WAAF to host the Hill-Man Morning Show on November 16th, 2009. The live remote, which began at 5:30 a.m. (!), was full of laughs & entertainment, and featured two Celeb Chefs who really got things cookin’. Chef Guy Fieri (one of the rockin' 'n' rollinest chefs around) stopped by to kick off his Guy Fieri Roadshow, which began last night in Lowell, MA. Fieri is known for his numerous shows on The Food Network, including Guy Off the Hook, Guy’s Big Bite, Ultimate Recipe Showdown, and Diners, Drive-ins and Dives (our favorite), which shows Guy traveling to some of the most unique food destinations in the U.S.
Guy showed up at the crack of dawn to co-judge a cooking showdown between two local radio personalities, Spaz & Danielle, from WAAF. Joining Fieri was decorated Chef Michael Schlow, who has made guest appearances on The Food Network and owns well-known Boston restaurants Via Matta and Radius. The two participants had 5 mystery ingredients to create a specialty dish, including chicken, apple, cheddar cheese, potato, and Sam Adams Lager, a Boston favorite. After the cook off, Fieri and Schlow surprised their fans by each cooking up a dish live on stage. Schlow created a delicious Spaghetti Carbonara and Fieri topped it off with an out-of-this-world Bananas Foster. At the end of the broadcast, Fieri stayed to chat with fans and sign autographs, as well as sign a Hard Rock guitar that will be auctioned off to benefit a local charity.
What a great way to start the day! There's always something going on at Hard Rock Cafe, no matter where you are. Believe it.
