Hard Rock Cafe Gatlinburg Celebrates 10 Years!

Posted on September 24, 2009

Last night, Gatlinburg rocked with an anniversary party heard far and wide throughout the Great Smoky Mountains. Okay, maybe they didn't hear it in North Carolina, but we can assure you that Hard Rock Cafe Gatlinburg celebrated their 10th anniversary in true Hard Rock style, with good times, great people, and excellent music. What a gorgeous night!

About 250 attendees, including state and city politicians, radio outlets, news organizations, Hard Rock CEO Hamish Dodds, and all-around awesome G'burg citizens hung out for some killer food and one high point after another. One of the highlights of the evening came when three married couples renewed their vows on their own 10th anniversaries. They celebrated their 10 years right along side Gatlinburg's 10 years. How cool is that? Pretty damn cool, we say. Another highpoint came when Hamish presented Rolex watches to staff members that've been there since the beginning. Here's some of the Gatlinburg Hard Rockers doing what they do best, being awesome:

The biggest part of the night, however, came with a special acoustic performance of blue-eyed soul from Marc Broussard, including an improptu jam session accompanied by a blues harmonica player. Yeah, it rocked. The entire evening helped raise money for Friends Of The Smokies, a great organization that helps preserve and protect the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We want to thank everyone who came out for the party (really, how could they turn it down?), all the Hard Rockers who worked the event, Marc Broussard for sharing his gifted voice and music for the evening, and all who helped raise funds for the charity. You all rock!
