The Myrtle Beach Hard Rock Cafe has been selected as one of the Top 100 Restaurants on the Grand Strand. The Grand Strand, which stretches for more than 60 miles along the Atlantic Coast, is a string of beach resorts including ocean-side communities as Myrtle Beach, considered the Strand's hub, Cherry Grove, Ocean Drive, North Myrtle Beach, Atlantic Beach, Surfside, Litchfield, Pawleys Island, and Georgetown.
The publication featuring the Hard Rock Cafe Myrtle Beach will come out next month and be distributed among many hospitality leaders throughout the Southeast. Here is a photo of Becky Billingsley, the Publisher of "Top 100" and Myrtle Beach Restaurant News, rocking the Hard Rock brand.
Hard Rock Cafe teams not only throw killer parties, but we give back in the community! Most recently the Hard Rock Cafe Baltimore team got involved with the Maryland Food Bank. In December, the cafe assisted in packing of 12,692 pounds which equated to 9,763 meals!
A volunteer coordinator from MD Food Bank, Jill Kushner mentioned, "Activities like this get us one step closer to the goal of ending hunger throughout Maryland. We appreciate the Hard Rock Cafe team taking time out of their busy schedule to assist us in improving the lives of hungry Marylanders."
This is just one example of our Hard Rock cafe teams getting involved in the community. Keep checking back for more stories on how we are rocking in our communities and how you can get involved!
Happy New Year! Well 2011 was a busy one for all, and us Hard Rockers are ready to kick it into gear even more so in 2012. Across all of our cafes, the holiday parties celebrated the holidays and the accomplishments guests had in the past year.
The chapter of MPI (Meeting Professionals International) Chicago kicked off their holiday season right by having a party in our Chicago café. It was the day before the huge Association Forum Holiday Showcase show, and let’s just say the café rocked the house with the association industry.
From real, yes REAL reindeers outside as you walked into the café, to live music, and amazing food set ups downstairs & upstairs, you could see the joy in the guests faces. The MPI-CAC had a Giving Tree, an always popular signature display of the holiday parties. These trees had numbers on them which people would pick, donate a certain amount to a philanthropy organization and would be given a gift in return. The gifts ranged from hotel stays, to gift certificates and restaurants and more. And even Santa and Mrs. Claus hung around the festivities!
Chicago was not only rocking in December, but take it a bit over to the east to DC, and you got the ASAE (American Society of Association Executives) Holiday Party rocking at the Washington D.C. café. ASAE's Greater Washington area and MultiView, sponsor of the party. threw this exceptional networking party, named "Yule Rock Holiday Party."
With having a historical location at the Hard Rock Cafe D.C., ASAE was able to have their guests view the entertainment from downstairs and upstairs overlooking. Two great bands, Fat Pocket and 50 Amp Fuse rocked the Hard Rock stages, as people danced and sang the night away. The ASAE staff was all in attendance and many of ASAE partners and members. Hard Rock hearts ASAE!
So there's a quick glimpse for you from Chicago to DC on how people kicked off their holiday seasons, and thank you to the Hard Rock Cafe Chicago and the Hard Rock Cafe Washington D.C. for truly putting on amazing events in each of your amazing venues. Who is ready to book their holiday party now? :)
Where do 48,000 people from all around the world come together once a year? London of course! More specifically the World Travel Market, the leading global event for the travel industry, which was held a couple of weeks ago. Its a perfect opportunity to meet, network, negotiate and conduct business. Our Hard Rock teams in Europe met with these business delegates for three days exploring the opportunities of growth and where connections could be made.
To continue celebrating our 40th Anniversary this year, what better way to do that then with a party at the first Hard Rock Cafe right in London. We invited guests from the World Travel Market and had sales & marketing managers from all over Europe in attendance.
Welcomes were done by co-sponsor Universal Parks & Resorts and Kevin Kirby, from the Hard Rock team. Then they kicked it off to the musical styles of Ms. Jocelyn Brown, and an interactive, and energy filled band.
The Hard Rock Cafe London sure put on a class act of a party and had everyone in attendance dancing! It was the perfect ending to a day of business appointment and success making, and who can forget about remembering the experience at the party? That's where the photobooth comes in to capture those connections being made, and of course some of the silliness with the funky hats.
Thank you WTM 2011 London for attending our London cafe party and it was a pleasure to meet you! Here's to the 2012 WTM to be even bigger and better!
What do you get when you put over 300 Hard Rockers together in the Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas strip? Music. Love. Food!
Last month, the Sales & Marketing Managers and General Managers of our North American cafes gathered together for the annual Americas Sales & Marketing Conference, in Las Vegas. This conference is face to face time to network and meet with other cafe leaders, but more importantly review Sales & Marketing plans for 2012, brand campaigns, and best practices from the field. One of our nights in Vegas, we had a team evening event at the café on the strip, across from the Monte Carlo.
Us Hard Rockers are the biggest critics when it comes to the food we serve, the set up and layout of the room, and the whole experience of the guest. This time we were the guest! As we walked into the café, we were greeted by the Hard Rock team in Vegas serving drinks and offering delicious passed hors d'oeuvres – my favorite was the tomato & mozzarella with pesto and the quiches!
A must have at your next event. What I thought was impressive was that the cafe utilized one of the private back rooms for the buffet set up, then had Hard Rock partners stationed up front by the bar, as well as the electrifying ice sculpture. Can you guess how many people were taking pictures by that all night?
Here we are now, entertain us! The cafe provided the music styles of Uncle Kracker, who rocked the crowd with his song favorites. The sounds of our group singing "Follow Me", or "Drift Away“ resonated in the perfect venue for live music. Plus it doesn’t hurt to have kickin’ dance floor!
Thank you to the Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas strip for their amazing party! We look forward to next year's Sales & Marketing conference.
