Event to Feature Live Performance by Marc Broussard ** MEDIA ACCESS ONLY**
Orlando, Fla., September 3, 2009 – Come celebrate 10 years of Hard Rockin’ in Gatlinburg! On Wednesday, September 23, 2009, Hard Rock Cafe Gatlinburg celebrates 10 years of service to the Gatlinburg community with a live performance by singer/songwriter Marc Broussard. During the celebration, Broussard will donate memorabilia, which will become a permanent addition to Hard Rock’s world-famous memorabilia collection. That evening, Hard Rock International will also honor Olwen Claiborne, Steve Wiggins, John Antikainen and Bobby Steel, who have been staff members at the cafe since its opening, by presenting each of them with a Rolex watch.

Remaining true to the brand’s “Love All, Serve All” motto, proceeds from the event will benefit Gatlinburg’s Friends of the Smokies, an organization that assists the National Park Service in its mission to preserve and protect the Great Smoky Mountains National Park by raising funds and public awareness, and providing volunteers for needed projects.

New Look ~ New Vibe ~ New Memorabilia

Orlando, Fla., September 3, 2009 – Hard Rock International is excited to announce that Hard Rock Cafe Nashville will soon receive a major renovation, complete with a new live music space, additional dining areas and upscale design features.  Located at the corner of Broadway and Second Avenue, Hard Rock is planning a multi-million dollar renovation and memorabilia redecoration, including a new open-air terrace seating area and turning its second floor into a music venue for live shows, parties or special events.  

In the latest example of Hard Rock’s concept-driven design evolution, the Nashville cafe will be remodeled to preserve the heritage of the existing location while integrating technology and other elements to create a new look and vibe that will rock downtown.  The ground floor of the restaurant will be revamped to feature a sleek, iconic bar as the focal point, complemented by exposed brick accents, giving the space a contemporary feel that articulates the energy of the Hard Rock brand.  In contrast to the ground floor, the second level provides a raw, open space complete with large glass overhead doors; these doors can be opened to allow patrons the luxury of spilling out onto the rooftop deck to enjoy the second floor’s live music scene on select evenings.  The venue’s new second floor will also be utilized for buyouts and events, as well as a regular live music schedule.

Dozens of new items commemorating the history of rock will be on display – from Randy Travis’ guitar to Hank Williams, Jr.’s suit, to Michael Jackson’s shoes.  The collection will also include items from Tennessee natives, including a guitar owned by 2009 Ambassador of Rock Kenny Chesney, a microphone courtesy of Hard Rock 2008 Artist of the Year Paramore’s Hayley Williams, as well as an axe used in the band’s ‘"Crushcruchcrush" video.

Nashville is an extraordinary capital city with an incredibly rich music heritage,” said Hamish Dodds, president and CEO, Hard Rock International. “We have enjoyed great success in ‘Music City’ since the cafe’s opening in 1994, and we are eager to re-launch the Nashville cafe as a premier entertainment destination.

Hard Rock Cafe Nashville will be closing its doors effective September 14, 2009 and remain so until renovations are completed in December 2009.  During this time, Hard Rock staff will remain on payroll to focus on giving back to the community via various philanthropic efforts.  In accordance with the brand’s motto “Love All, Serve All,” staff will continue their commitment to the area by working with local charities Second Harvest Food Bank, Susan G. Orlando, Fl., August 27, 2009 – Hard Rock International is proud to announce that the Grammy® Award-winning Black Eyed Peas will headline six concerts in Japan as part of Hard Rock International’s 2009 Ambassadors of Rock Tour, a global concert series featuring top artists and bands. The Black Eyed Peas, currently touring the globe, will take the stage as part of Hard Rock’s Ambassadors of Rock Tour and perform songs from the band’s newest release The E.N.D., including “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling.” The Black Eyed Peas also recently made Hot 100 history, when the group became the first-ever to top the music chart for 20 consecutive weeks.

Orlando, Fla., July 21, 2009 – Hard Rock is “doubling down” in Las Vegas with the anticipated opening of its second Hard Rock Cafe location in “Sin City”, and the brand has just announced that it is looking for local talent! Beginning Tuesday, July 28th through Wednesday, August 5th, Hard Rock will host the search for more than 500 of the area’s best and brightest rock stars-in-training to help launch its newest home at the Showcase Mall development on the world famous Las Vegas Strip. The job fair will take place at the Las Vegas Hilton on Paradise Road.

Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas will be located at 3771 Las Vegas Boulevard South, anchoring the Southern end of the heart of “The Strip” beside the MGM Grand Hotel. The three-story Las Vegas cafe will have more than more than 42,000-square feet of space, including a 950-seat restaurant, a state-of-the-art live concert venue, rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia from Hard Rock’s iconic collection and the largest Rock Shop in the world.

As guests approach the new Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas, the first sight to grab their attention will be a larger-than-life guitar on the exterior of the building, reaching more than three stories tall. Upon entry, the first level of the new Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas will include an expansive square-foot Rock Shop featuring the brand’s iconic merchandise. The second level will boast a rockin’ bar and main dining area, as well as an outdoor dining area with a deck overlooking the sights of the city.     Grand Opening Celebration Planned for Mid-August

    Orlando, Fla., July 6, 2009 – Hard Rock International, a global hospitality brand, is proud to announce the opening of Hard Rock Cafe Dallas on July 15, 2009. The new Hard Rock Cafe Dallas is located at 2211 North Houston Street, anchoring the Southern end of the Victory Park urban development center. Sure to contend as one of the city’s premier dining and entertainment destinations, the Dallas cafe includes a 265-seat restaurant, outdoor dining with patio seating for 40, rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia from Hard Rock’s iconic collection and a Rock Shop featuring Hard Rock’s limited-edition merchandise.

    The cafe will also celebrate its grand opening in Dallas on Thursday, August 20th in true rock star fashion. The exclusive VIP event will feature a live concert by Dallas favorites the Old 97’s, a guitar smash and one-of-a-kind memorabilia moment. Event proceeds benefit the Fallen Patriot Fund – championed by founder, entrepreneur and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. “I am proud to be in the position to offer assistance to severely injured soldiers and the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice at a time when their lives have been tragically disrupted both emotionally and financially,” Cuban said recently. Through a strategic partnership with the Dallas Mavericks, Hard Rock will be raising funds for the charity via the sale of a limited-edition Dallas Mavericks/Hard Rock co-branded bracelet (on sale now while supplies last).     This opening marks Hard Rock’s return to the Dallas market. The original Hard Rock Cafe Dallas, located at 2601 McKinney Avenue and known for its unique church design and historic significance, was closed after 21 years in order for the brand to actively explore more strategic locations in the market. Hard Rock welcomes back former staff members and new local talent to the team at the new location on North Houston Street. Leading the team will be former GM Todd Stoerkel, who has been successfully helming the Philadelphia cafe since the previous Dallas location closed. Sales & Marketing Manager Christina Oickle joins the Dallas management team from Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where she had extensive sales, marketing and event planning success with the local community.

    In addition, the authentic memorabilia collection of Hard Rock will be showcased via innovative multimedia technology. The Dallas cafe is the pilot location for a unique interactive booth experience enabling fans to explore the world’s greatest rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia collection. Hard Rock, Duncan/Channon and Vertigo created a custom, touch-based interface for many of the cafe’s booths, where guests can explore memorabilia, peruse merchandise and vote on what video plays next in the cafe. From “Deep Zoom” functionality to background information on the pieces themselves, the technology grants access to a catalogue of more than 1,000 unique memorabilia items.  Guests can also plug in to the in-house music video system to cast their vote on the next song, and explore Hard Rock memorabilia related to those artists. Marquee Rock Shop merchandise items will also be accessible for browsing as part of this interface.

    Newest Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Set to Offer World-Class Resort Experience

    June 26, 2009, Orlando, Fla. – Hard Rock International, a leading global hospitality brand, today announced an agreement with EuroVegas Hungary Ltd, owned by Asamer Group and Supersberger Group, to develop Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Hungary, a premium integrated world-class resort. On Monday, July 6th, Hard Rock will hold a "Hard Hat Tour" offering media an exclusive sneak peek into the new Hard Rock Dallas prior to opening its doors. Scheduled to open to the public on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, the 8,900-square-foot cafe features a 265-seat restaurant, outdoor dining with patio seating for 40, as well as a Rock Shop featuring Hard Rock's limited-edition merchandise.

    The new Dallas cafe was constructed with an upscale "Lucid Dream" design aesthetic featuring uncommon materials that diffuse, project, and absorb light, articulating the energy and vibe of the Hard Rock brand. Legendary memorabilia from Hard Rock's world-famous collection is currently being transported to Dallas for installation prior to opening. The Dallas cafe will feature items from many of the world¡¦s most beloved and recognizable musicians, as well as contemporary artists with local ties.
