Hard Rock Cafe Seattle recently hosted two incredible indie bands, proving once again that no matter where you end up in Seattle, music isn't far behind. In conjunction with local radio stations, Entercom Radio and 98.9, Two Door Cinema Club and Snow Patrol held down the stage at the Cafe, filling the space upstairs with their respective sounds. As always with these radio-sponsored gigs, the lucky ones are the fans, of which there are only about 25-40 lucky ducks chosen to attend, who get to see their favorite bands up close and personal. Hard Rock Cafe Seattle really knocks these shows out of the park.

Hard Rock Seattle partnered with Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington to grant 13-year-old Simone’s wish to be a rock star. Simone, who is battling a rare bone disease, flew from Italy to play a rock show in Seattle alongside Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan and emceed by KZOK’s Danny Bonaduce. Take Time To Be Kind.

Everclear frontman Art Alexakis hit up six (yes six!) Hard Rock Cafes in a week! Art graced the stages of Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Denver and Seattle with an acoustic set that included Everclear's "Everything To Everyone", "Wonderful", "Santa Monica" and of course, "Father of Mine".

While the songs were performed to near perfection, it was the in between banter that Art really showed a side that most fans may not have known was there - a warm and very funny artist that is more than a songwriter with "issues" as he described himself on stage before doing "Father of Mine."  This playfulness was revealed through witty asides with the audience and stories about his daughters and four marriages, but it really was revealed twice during the show when Art brought fans up on stage to help with the background vocals on two songs - one being a group of female fans he brought to  the stage to accompany him on "Volvo Driving Soccer Mom."

Well, if you were at the gig you saw them. And what you saw was A.) awesome and B.) an amazing band on the rise, ready to take the indie world, then the world world. Grouplove is one of our favorite new bands. We're so happy that they stopped by Hard Rock Cafe Seattle for an intimate show. Yes, you should check out their music online, in your local record store (they still have those in some places), on MySpace, Spotify, Reverbnation, iTunes or wherever you consume music. Grouplove is worth any amount of seeking you may do. Do it.

We wanted to thank The End 107.7 for always bringing amazing talent to their End Sessions. You all rock!
