RINGO STARR CELEBRATED HIS BIRTHDAY WITH PEACE & LOVE AT NOON AT HARD ROCK CAFE NASHVILLE ON JULY 7

Ringo Starr celebrated his birthday Saturday, July 7, 2012, in Nashville where he and his wife Barbara joined family, friends and fans in front of Hard Rock Cafe Nashville and share a "Peace & Love" salute at noon. The now traditional Peace & Love celebration invites everyone everywhere to say, think or do Peace & Love at noon their time. Starr began the tradition of celebrating Peace & Love birthday parties with Hard Rock in 2008, when he and Barbara joined throngs of fans on the street in front of Hard Rock Cafe Chicago; the next was a traffic-stopping event in front of Hard Rock Cafe New York in Times Square and last year saw them at Hard Rock Hamburg.

"This is an anthem of peace and love," Ringo Starr singson the opening track of his 17th solo album - Ringo 2012.  For more on Ringo's new album click here.

"It's a fitting sentiment from the celebrated drummer who flashes a peace sign at the click of a camera shutter and wears the hippie-era mantra like a second skin. Sometimes literally. Today, lounging on the patio of his Beverly Hills Hotel suite, he's sporting a "peace and love" T-shirt as part of an ensemble that's casual chic." - Excerpt from USA Today Interview - 1/30/12, for the full story click here

PEACE & LOVE. ALL IS ONE.

08.29: On this day in 1958, Michael Jackson was born. Despite his numerous bouts of odd behavior over the years, he was still the man who gave us “Beat It,” "Human Nature," and “Billie Jean." And nothing will change that. Ever.

08.29: The Beatles last real concert, at Candlestick Park in San Fran, went down on this day in 1966. Instead of constant touring, the band wanted to focus on recording albums. Though a loss to some fans, the music world gained immeasurably from this, as the guys put out some of the best albums of all time, taking studio recording to new heights and unexpected directions with Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, The Beatles (The so-called White Album), Abbey Road, and Let It Be.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RINGO!

RINGO STARR INVITES THE WORLD TO CELEBRATE HIS BIRTHDAY ON JULY 7 2011 WITH A GLOBAL MOMENT OF PEACE AND LOVE “NOON, YOUR TIME, WHEREVER YOU ARE………..”

Today, July 7, 2011, Ringo Starr will turn 71 and he will celebrate his birthday at Hard Rock Cafe Hamburg. At Noon, Ringo will be joined by family, friends and fans all together in one simple salute: "Peace & Love." Please join the wave of Peace & Love as it continues this July 7, 2011. Whether you say it along with a crowd, out loud as you go about your day, Tweet it or simply think the words, we hope you will join Ringo in celebrating “Peace & Love” wherever you are at Noon your local time.

07.04: What a wonderful world, indeed, as American jazz great Louis Armstrong, or Satchmo, as we love to call him, was born on this day in 1900. One of the greatest  trumpeters and bandleaders during the big band and swing eras of jazz, inarguably the most popular time for jazz, Armstrong's amazingly raspy, deep, and smokey voice will, in our mind, forever reverberate through our heads with the tune "What A Wonderful World." What a great song and an amazing talent. For real, seek out his work, a greatest hits collection, whatever, and you will not be disappointed. Happy birthday, Louie. You are one of the original rock stars.

Happy World Wish Day!

17-year old Alexx Kipp loves playing the drums. Always has. He's been playing since he was 8, jamming along while his dad played guitar, jamming alongside the Beatles tunes he loves. The playing proved to be therapy for Alexx during round after round of chemotherapy and radiation treatments for a brain tumor. Unlike a lot of kids his age, Alexx just needed something to take his mind off of all the hospital visits and doctor appointments. Alexx also had a wish to one day meet his drumming hero, one Mr. Richard Starkey or, as the world at large may know him better, Ringo Starr. Well, that wish came true today, thanks to the amazing Make-A-Wish Foundation and Hard Rock International.
