The Vaccines, one of the U.K.'s hottest bands, recently stopped by Hard Rock Cafe London for an intimate and incredible performance, as part of the semi-regular Absolute Radio Sessions. We really wish we could've been there, but we'll have to live vicariously through the pics the Cafe sent us. We've been to that Cafe, and to see a band like The Vaccines in such an intimate and cozy space would've just blown our minds, just as we're sure it did to the lucky gathered. People lined up around the block waiting to get in because they knew what a special time it would be. Lucky!

Hard Rock loves local music but we have to admit, we don't mind imports either...

For those not familiar with Hard Rock history, the Hard Rock Cafe London is the original Hard Rock Cafe, which introduced the UK to casual American cuisine and hospitality to a scandalized 1971 London. So in grand Hard Rock tradition, America's own, The Fray, invaded Hard Rock Cafe London for a live session co-hosted with UK's Absolute Radio.

The Fray have enjoyed a steady stream of hit singles since 2005 such as "Over My Head (Cable Car)", "You Found Me", "How To Save A Life" and "Heartbeat". 200 of their fans packed into the cafe to hear the band's set which included these songs plus some songs from their newest album "Scars & Stories". However, the band's lead singer Isaac Slade felt that this wasn't enough...

In true rock 'n' roll fashion, lead singer Isaac climbed up on a ledge to perform an acoustic solo version of "Happiness". The entire audience was silent, cameraphones in hand recording this moment that one member of the cafe called "magical." The silence was only broken when Isaac asked the audience to sing with him. Our friends at Absolute Radio caught this awesome performance here.

We'd like to thank and congratulate The Fray, Absolute Radio, and the team from Hard Rock Cafe London for hosting a truly unforgettable night!

Hard Rock Calling 2011 Day 1: The Killers Storm Hyde Park

Click here to see a bunch of pics from Day 1.

Despite the rain and the cold, the first day of Hard Rock Calling 2011 showed all in attendance the real meaning of rock. That is, that no matter what is going on around you, an incredible music festival will help you forget about everything else, will transport you to a magical land where everything is awesome and there is only music and good times. Yeah, it was that good.

From The Killers electro-rock-in-the-rain performance on Friday night to Bon Jovi's electrifying set on Saturday, it would be hard to top the two days prior, but Sunday proved that, for some, it is indeed easy like Sunday morning. To name names, Rod Stewart took the flash and vigor of The Killers, mixed it up with the solid awesomeness of Bon Jovi, then threw in his own Vegas-style revue and (voila!) finsished the weekend off with a mix of his own classics, hits from his standards album, and some incredible new songs. He even had a few guests come up and help in the festivities.

Day 2 of Hard Rock Calling 2011 proved to be a 180 turn, weather wise, from Day 1. Sunshine and warm temps ruled the day. Everything else was pretty much the same: great music, amazing people, flowing beer, and great times. Bon Jovi, of course, ruled the day, with their fans queueing up hours before the gates officially opened. From the word "go," Hard Rock Calling Day 2 was non-stop awesomeness. Believe it.

Okay, so we have this little event in London coming up in a couple weeks. It's called Hard Rock Calling and, yes, it is going to be awesome. If you don't have tickets yet or are on the fence about going or don't want to shell out cash for them, we've got a way for you to possibly get your hands on some tickets.

At the intimate and acoustically amazing indigO2 theatre, deep in the heart of the O2 Arena in London, a plethora of musicians and performers joined Hard Rock for a night of excellent music and good times to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research. As part of Hard Rock's Pinktober initiative, the always incredible Bangles, the beautiful and soulful Beverley Knight, and up-and-coming chantreuse Amy Macdonald all raised their voices in support of the Caron Keating Foundation, one of Hard Rock's favorite organizations.
