The Broward Education Foundation will host their 7th Annual End-of-School-Year Blowout for more than 5,000 of Broward County’s teachers, educators and administrative school board staff at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, FL.

Various tenants from Seminole Paradise will be treating educators to complimentary food and beverage specials.

Murphy’s Law will be hosting a Happy Hour Buffet from 5 – 6 p.m., Tequila Ranch will offer a Taco Bar from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. and Knighttime Billiards will offer a Happy Hour Buffet 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

From 5 – 9 p.m., Tuscany’s will offer sangria, Bluepoint Ocean Grill will have margaritas, Rock N Hookah will have draught beer and Renegade Barbecue will offer complimentary Renegade punch. Rock N Dog will be giving out free hot dogs from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.

    Hooters Girls from the Hooters restaurant at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, FL, will be going to great lengths to help raise money for breast cancer research. Hooters will showcase girls Teeter-Tottering in a 12-hour marathon to raise much needed money for the Kelly Jo Dowd Fund for Breast Cancer Research. Donations for this event have already begun to take place at this Hooters location.

    Kelly Jo Dowd was one of the original Hooters Girls, who graced the cover of the 1995 Hooters Calendar and worked her way up the Hooters ranks to manager of the location in Palm Harbor, Florida. In 2002, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and ultimately lost her battle with cancer on May 24th, 2007. Her story received national attention when ESPN covered her then 13-year-old daughter, Dakoda Dowd, playing in an LPGA event to fulfill her mother's wish.

    For the forth consecutive year, Hooters Girls across the country will be raising money for the cause through local fundraising efforts including the sale of pink Hooters Girl uniform cutouts at the restaurants during the entire month of May. A check will be presented to the V Foundation in Miami during the Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant on June 20th to further fund the Kelly Jo Dowd Breast Cancer Research Grant.

    Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi donated 636 sets of linens to local organizations throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast on Friday in support of Hard Rock's philanthropic motto "Take Time to Be Kind." Five organizations will benefit from these linens which include The Salvation Army, Back Bay Mission, Humane Society of South Mississippi, Homes of Grace, and Women’s Center for Non Violence.

    "Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi’s heart rocks!” said Major Will Cundiff of the Salvation Army. “You will never know how much this helps, we truly appreciate this."

    The linen donation came about when Hard Rock Biloxi received new linens for their guest rooms. Instead of throwing away the current stock, which is in pristine condition, the decision was made to give back. Said Duncan McKenzie, President and General Manager of Hard Rock Biloxi, “We are always looking for ways that we can help, and when this opportunity arose we thought it would be the perfect way to Take Time to Be Kind and serve our community organizations."
