Amazing examples from the Hard Rock memorabilia collection were displayed to help illustrate the message. DMC told the audience that the very first record he owned was from Graham Central Station. 05.30: On this day in 1987, Ireland took over the US charts. U2 was No. 1 with “With or Without You” and Chris de Burgh scored one for every guy that’s met some girl at a bar and woke up the next morning wondering why she was in his bed with “Lady in Red”. Two very different songs, yet both of the '80s. Can you guess which one is our more favoritist? Yeah, we're big on that Bono guy. He's dreamy.

05.24: Quick! By what nom de plume is Robert Allen Zimmerman better known by? If you said Bob Dylan you get a cookie. Bobby, as we like to call him, was born on this day in 1941. One of the greatest, if not the greatest, singer/songwriters ever to take up a guitar, Mr. Dylan's contributions to the '60s canon can never be underestimated. From his early work in folk, leading the way for the protest music that would influence the decade, to his plugging in, leading the way for the electric and psychedelic music that would also inform the decade, Bob Dylan's music built on his own emotions, his own stories, and took over popular music. Bob is the man. We could go on and on and on, but we shan't. If you wanna know more about the man, just use that newfangled interwebs. It's got everything.

The five piece, Grammy award winning alternative rock band performed at Hard Rock Cafe Jakarta recently in front of hardcore fans, singing together in unison to the beautifully crafted songs and heartfelt lyrics. An easy going, relaxed performance captivated the rapt audience, who in turn gave back an amazing energy to the band. It's one of those things that you probably had to be there for, but take us at our word, it rocked.
