Hard Rock Hotel San Diego will get inked for charity when the stars of TLC’s Miami Ink and creators of the Ruthless & Toothless clothing line, Chris Garver and Darren Brass create canvas paintings inspired by their famous tattoo artistry, live in the hotel’s lobby, on Friday, Feb. 27, 2009. The renowned artists will bring their passion to life when they demonstrate their tattooing skills with paint and brush in the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego lobby. The finished art will be unveiled at a private reception and then auctioned on eBay, with all proceeds donated to the Black Eyed Peas’ Peapod Foundation. The eBay auction will go live on March 3 through April 3 and will be accessible via the hotel’s web site at www.hardrockhotelsd.com.

The Peapod Foundation works to support social issues affecting children worldwide, including housing, starvation, healthcare, education, poverty and music/artistic education. Hard Rock Hotel San Diego is very proud to be able to use this opportunity to once again benefit The Peapod Foundation. Hard Rock International presents this years Hard Rock Calling 2009 in Hyde Park, London on June 27 and 28 and is delighted to announce the appearance of one of the biggest acts in the world. This year sees The Boss himself Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band headlining on Sunday 28 June performing to 45,000 fans. This performance will be Bruce Springsteens first ever-festival appearance outside of the United States.

Main support comes from multi-million album selling American rockers Dave Matthews Band with their hybrid of jazz, folk and a distinct pop sensibility resonating through capacity stadiums in the United States. They will be joining Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band on Sunday 28 June with full supporting line-up to be announced.

Dave Matthews Band comment on their appearance at Hard Rock Calling:

New Jerseys newest and hottest sons, The Gaslight Anthem, will be joining Dave Matthews Band and New Jerseys original son, Bruce Springsteen, on Sunday 28 June at Hard Rock Calling. Currently in the midst of a world tour, The Gaslight Anthem are the hottest ticket around and have been cited as the best new band fans will hear in 2009.
