Hard Rock Cafe to Open in the Heart of Mallorca, Spain
Orlando, Fla., November 20, 2008 – Hard Rock International today announced it will open a Hard Rock Cafe in Mallorca, Spain in the Paseo Marítimo district near the historic center of the city, one of the most fashionable areas of the island. Scheduled to open on November 29th, Hard Rock Cafe Mallorca, surrounded by sunny white beaches and light blue water, is poised to become one of the areas premier dining and entertainment venues. The Mallorca cafe will be the fourth Hard Rock Cafe in Spain, joining the successful Barcelona, Madrid and Gran Canaria locations.

The Mallorca cafe will be ideally located near Palma de Mallorca airport and 400 meters from the harbor cruise terminal, which is the port for ferries from Barcelona, Ibiza and Valencia. Operated by Food Beverages and Live Music, S.L., the 1,500-square-meter cafe will include a 500-seat restaurant, a vibrant bar, live concert area and Rock Shop offering Hard Rock’s limited-edition merchandise. Hard Rock Cafe Mallorca will also feature a large terrace with a gorgeous view of the Palma Marina and the gothic cathedral, La Seu.

Additional key memorabilia items on display will pay homage to some of Spain's top artists, including a white Epiphone SG guitar from the band Heroes Del Silencio and a guitar from rock band Barricada.

Hard Rock Cafe to Open in the Heart of Venice, Italy
Orlando, Fla., November 18, 2008 – Hard Rock International today announced it will open a Hard Rock Cafe in Venice, Italy near the historic Piazza San Marco. Scheduled to open on December 18th, Hard Rock Cafe Venice will be in located in what is known as the city’s “central gathering place” and is poised to become one of the areas premier dining and entertainment venues.

The cafe comprises 350 square meters of space over two floors, a 120-seat restaurant, vibrant bar, Rock Shop featuring Hard Rock’s limited-edition merchandise and a beautiful view of the main Gondola meeting point. Memorabilia from Hard Rock’s iconic collection will adorn the walls of Hard Rock Cafe Venice complementing an interior design which preserves the historic Venetian feel of the space. A patterned terrazzo floor and a red Murano glass chandelier, handmade for Hard Rock, adhere to Italian tradition. The second floor dining room is set beneath a domed Venetian plaster ceiling with dramatic uplighting, while the mezzanine dining area is surrounded by custom patterned uplit handrails to provide dramatic views of the canals below. The Venice cafe will be the second Hard Rock Cafe in Italy, joining the successful Rome location, which opened in 1998.

The trend continues as the hottest ticket in South Florida gets even hotter as Billy Joel has added a fifth show at Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, February 6 at 8 p.m. Billy Joel will now perform at Hard Rock Live on January 2,4,16,18 and Friday, February 6 following the immediate sellout of four shows in January.

Billy Joel will bring three decades of award-winning hits and fan favorites to Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The shows, part of a limited number of engagements in selected cities this winter, will be Joel’s first in North America since his record-breaking and critically-acclaimed “Last Play at Shea” at New York’s Shea Stadium this past July.  Tickets for the Friday, February 6 show are on sale now.

Due to overwhelming demand and the excitement buzzing in South Florida, Billy Joel has added a fourth show at Hard Rock Live on Sunday, January 18 at 7:30 p.m. This announcement arrives after shows scheduled for January 2, 4 and 16 sold out immediately, earlier this week. Billy Joel at Hard Rock Live continues to be the hottest ticket in South Florida. Tickets go on sale Saturday, November 15 at 10 a.m.

Billy Joel will bring three decades of award-winning hits and fan favorites to Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The shows, part of a limited number of engagements in selected cities this winter, will be Joel’s first in North America since his record-breaking and critically-acclaimed “Last Play at Shea” at New York’s Shea Stadium this past July.
