Two Days of Exclusive Events Including Concerts and the Peter Jacobsen’s Celebrity Golf Tournament
Myrtle Beach, SC, February 29, 2008 – After breaking ground one year ago, Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach, SC is about to kick open its doors and make history. The world’s first and only rock ‘n’ roll theme park announced today its Grand Opening Extravaganza on June 2, including an exclusive two-day celebration featuring concerts and a star-studded celebrity golf tournament hosted by PGA TOUR professional Peter Jacobsen.

Grand Opening Extravaganza

Hard Rock Park’s Grand Opening Extravaganza festivities will commence on Monday, June 2 with an extraordinary, grand opening ceremony at the massive iron gates to the rock ‘n’ roll oasis featuring a concert performance by the Eagles. The following day, the renowned British rock band, The Moody Blues, will commemorate the official opening of the park’s psychedelic, Moody Blues-inspired dark ride, Nights in White Satin - The Trip, followed by an exclusive live performance.

“This celebration will be one for the record books,” said Steven Goodwin, CEO of Hard Rock Park. “Our opening lineup screams that the world’s first rock ‘n’ roll theme park has arrived. Families will be transformed from Regular Joes to Rock Stars, leading others to say ‘they must’ve been to Hard Rock Park.’”

Celebrity Golf Tournament

“Peter Jacobsen Sports is proud to be partnering with Hard Rock,” said Peter Jacobsen, president and CEO of Peter Jacobsen Sports (PJS). “This combination of sports, stars and rock ‘n’ roll is sure to make PJS’ first-class golf tournament one of our best tournaments yet.”

The Celebrity Golf Tournament will be held at Grande Dunes Golf Resort on June 2. Participants will include rock ‘n’ roll legends, such as The Moody Blues, celebrities and PGA TOUR golf professionals. Among the PGA TOUR pros playing will be Jacobsen, as well as LPGA star Paula Creamer. Jacobsen will also host a “Peter Jacobsen and Friends Golf Clinic”.

Hard Rock Park is the first new major theme park to be built in the U.S. in nearly a decade. The park is approximately 50-acres boasting more than 50 thrilling rides and attractions for rockers of all ages, including roller coasters such as Led Zeppelin - The Ride, great live shows, children’s play areas, restaurants, cafes and retail stores, a multi-purpose live music amphitheatre and an ultra-modern sound system specifically developed for the project, creating a totally immersive full-day experience.

Orlando, Fla., February 4, 2008 – Hard Rock International recently hosted its 2007 annual Worldwide Leadership Conference at the company’s flagship hotel and casino property, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Hollywood, Fla., bringing together team members from all over the world, including company and franchise-owned cafes, hotels and casinos, as well as key corporate partners in the retail, culinary, beverage and project development industries. Each year, Hard Rock utilizes the Leadership Conference as an arena in which to unite all areas of the brand and elevate the Hard Rock experience throughout the world. The conference also opened this year with greetings from members of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, new owners of Hard Rock International, who were enthusiastic and active participants throughout the week.

Hard Rock also announced the winners of the 2007 Leadership Conference Awards in recognition of outstanding accomplishments and dedication of employees, franchisees and partners. The ceremony included the much-anticipated awards for “2007 Hotel of the Year,” presented to Hard Rock Hotel Orlando, as well as “Company Worldwide Cafe of the Year,” given to the team at Hard Rock Cafe London, which boasted solid financials throughout the year, including impressive restaurant and retail numbers in 2007, and “Company General Manager of the Year” for 2007, proudly presented to Paulo Rodrigues of Hard Rock Cafe Lisbon, who received a Harley Davidson motorcycle for his outstanding leadership. That evening, Hard Rock Cafe Malta was also named as the “2007 Franchise Cafe of the Year,” and Pachi Higuerey of Hard Rock Cafe Caracas took home the award for “Franchise General Manager of the Year” along with a check for $10,000.

In addition, franchise partner, HRC – MIDDLE EAST, proudly accepted the award for “Franchisee of the Year 2007,” and was also honored with the award for “Franchise Highest Total Sales 2007” for its Hard Rock Cafe Sharm El Sheikh.

Singapore’s Second Hard Rock Location Ready to Rock!

Located in Changi International Airport’s newest Terminal 3, the cafe is a full-service eatery that provides all the best amenities Hard Rock Cafe has to offer, providing travelers great American fare in a rock 'n' roll atmosphere!
