Hard Rock International Hits the Road with Mobile Tour Offering an Interactive Rock 'n' Roll Adventure
Orlando, FL, May 26, 2005 – Offering a front-row look into the lives and careers of rock superstars and roadies, Hard Rock International announced today that it is bringing an interactive rock 'n' roll mobile tour across the country. The "Rock Across America" mobile tour will give visitors the chance to immerse themselves in a "rock 'n' roll road trip," experiencing a journey through the music that has energized radio airwaves and created unforgettable memories for generations of Americans.

The "Rock Across America" mobile tour made its debut in May at Hard Rock Cafe New Orleans in celebration of the recent memorabilia redecoration at this location. The event featured a concert with Leo Nocentelli of the legendary jazz band, the Meters, and launched the mobile tour that will bring memorabilia from artists including Prince, Tom Petty, KISS, Janet Jackson and Marilyn Manson to multiple U.S. cities. Furthermore, the "Rock Across America" mobile tour will make stops at Hard Rock Cafes in San Antonio, New York, Niagara Falls and Baltimore where pieces of memorabilia will be swapped from the memorabilia tour with items from the cafes. While the tour is visiting these cities, events will be planned at the cafe to celebrate the memorabilia redecorations.

Also traveling across the country as part of the "Rock Across America" mobile tour is a double expandable trailer that will join the memorabilia truck in select locations. Offering guests a 4D experience that truly "rocks", an interactive movie takes the visitors backstage at concerts for Bruce Springsteen, Motley Crue and Simple Plan. The visual journey gives guests a roadie's point of view, immersing them into the non-stop action, awesome sites and sounds of life on the road with these bands, while the "roadies" seats move and interact with the film.

"Rock Across America" will feature legendary pieces of music memorabilia from the Hard Rock collection allowing guests to relive their favorite rock 'n' roll memories. Artifacts from Motley Crue, known for their outrageous concerts and wild behavior both on and off the stage, such as Tommy Lee's "Shout at the Devil" drum head and red jumpsuit he wore on that tour and Nikki Sixx's smashed bass played during the opening night of the "Red, White & Crue" tour are included. The mobile tour will also give fans the chance to see a signature guitar from the late Dimebag Darrell of Pantera, custom-made in the shape of a bottle of Crown Royal, Eddie Van Halen's custom-made Kramer Electric Guitar, a suit from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and a guitar played by Matt Sorum of Velvet Revolver along with autographs, rare photographs and concert posters from some of rock's greatest musicians including the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and Jimi Hendrix.

Caracas, Venezuela, May 12, 2005 - Caracas is buzzing with rock 'n' roll energy as the world's newest Hard Rock Cafe will open its doors at midnight on Thursday, May 12. Hard Rock Cafe Caracas, located in the Centro Sambil, Nivel Diversion, is Venezuela's first Hard Rock and offers its guests great American food in a rock 'n' roll atmosphere. At noon, the cafe will hold a press conference, followed by a special lunch and Hard Rock-style celebration.

The 12,000-square-foot, 375-seat cafe features Hard Rock's outstanding menu, collectible merchandise and world-famous memorabilia collection, including items representing contemporary stars such as U2 and Lenny Kravitz as well as items from rock legends including Elvis Presley and the Beatles.

"Establishing itself as a cosmopolitan city, Caracas offers its guests a bustling nightlife and abundance of cultural opportunities," said Hamish Dodds, president and CEO of Hard Rock International. "We are thrilled to bring the first Hard Rock to Venezuela's capital city."

In addition to the memorabilia, Hard Rock Cafe Caracas features a stage that will keep guests rocking with regular live music entertainment. The cafe also accommodates corporate events, private parties and other rental opportunities.

Other notable pieces of memorabilia on display at Hard Rock Cafe Caracas include Eric Clapton's silk jacket, Stings raincoat and Madonna's kiss panties. A nod to Latin America's rich musical history, Gloria Estefan's sequined dress and a giant poster of rock legend Carlos Santana performing in concert are also included.

Additionally on May 26, Hard Rock Cafe Caracas will host its grand-opening party, featuring local musicians, celebrities and the media. At the celebration, an acoustic guitar will be ceremonially smashed, a Hard Rock opening tradition.

New Menu Adds Global Flair with Rock 'n' Roll Garnish
Orlando, Fla., May 9, 2005 Hard Rock International will rock your palate this spring with the company's new food and drink menu. As the brand prepares to celebrate its 34th anniversary, Hard Rock is reinforcing its dedication to deliver the ultimate dining experience by announcing it has revitalized its menu. Adding new items with global appeal, Hard Rock is also revamping the menu's look, combining its delectable food with a history of the greatest collection of rock 'n' roll memorabilia and the story behind some of its pieces including Eric Clapton's guitar, John Lennon's "Remember Love" drawing and Jimi Hendrix's childhood rocking horse.

Arriving in Hard Rock Cafe locations across the U.S. and select European markets on May 9 (with a worldwide launch later this summer), the menu will feature authentic new items, including:

  • Wings Around the World, (chicken wings tossed in world-class sauces, made from scratch in each cafe)
  • Bloody Mary Shrimp (grilled shrimp, skewered and basted in pesto sauce and served with a Bloody Mary salsa and nacho cheese)
  • Tuscan Chicken Salad (grilled chicken salad with an Italian flair)
  • Ahi Tuna Steak Sandwich (a favorite from Hard Rock Cafes Honolulu, Kona and Maui)
  • Texas Chili (homemade in each cafe)

    Rock-star inspired items, such as Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry's Quesadillas made with his Rock Your World Mango Peach Tango hot sauce, will be added to the menu, while Hard Rock favorites including the Pulled Pork Sandwich and Twisted Mac, Chicken & Cheese will remain available for guests.

    "Hard Rock was founded on creating an authentic experience in a rock 'n' roll atmosphere and for three decades we have strived to remain faithful to the brand's intentions," said Marie Grimm, Director of R&D/Corporate Chef, Hard Rock International. "By adding items like Wings Around the World, Tuscan Chicken Salad and Texas Chili to Hard Rock International's new menu, we will continue to create the greatest dining experience with a global flair and a rock 'n' roll garnish."

    Hard Rock International's specialty will continue to be its line of burgers, now made with Certified Angus Beef®, the world's premium brand of fresh ground beef. Launched in March, Hard Rock International's 10 ounce Legendary Burger, is topped with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato and a crispy homemade onion ring, all served on a one-of-a-kind roll, made with real GUINNESS®. Another new addition to Hard Rock's line of Certified Angus Beef® burgers is the Stormy Blue Burger (a lightly seasoned burger with crumbled blue cheese and creamy horseradish sauce).

    The new menu will feature "no-nonsense" pricing as Hard Rock International has moved to whole dollar pricing rather than dollars and cents, which will also give a more streamlined presentation to the customer.

    Hard Rock International has also upgraded its drink menu, offering only top-shelf cocktails. New additions to the drink menu include the Red Rocker and Waborita made with rock star Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo Tequila, Jerry Garcia's Wine and the Mighty Mango Mary made with Joe Perry's Mango Peach Tango Hot Sauce, Bloody Mary Mix and ABSOLUT.
