Hard Rock International Introduces New Legendary Burger Made with Certified Angus Beef®
Orlando, Fla., March 29, 2005 Get ready AC/DC . . . there's a new Angus in town! For more than 33 years, Hard Rock International has been known for great American food and its unparalleled collection of memorabilia from the world's greatest rock legends including Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, U2 and Nirvana. Today, Hard Rock announced the addition of the world's next great icon the Legendary Burger, the company's tastiest burger yet, made with 10 ounces of Certified Angus Beef®, the world's premium brand of fresh ground beef.

Sure to rock any appetite, the new mouthwatering Legendary Burger is topped with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato and a crispy homemade onion ring, all served on a one-of-a-kind roll, made with real GUINNESS®. GUINNESS®, one of the top-selling imported beers in America, teamed up with Hard Rock to develop the delicious bun. The Legendary Burger is served fresh, made to order and dished up with french fries.

"Hard Rock International was built on great American fare, and for more than 33 years, each Cafe has offered guests a delicious menu, including its mouthwatering burgers, and a taste of music history with the legends that adorn its walls. Now we are offering guests another authentic taste with the Legendary Burger, which is sure to become a favorite of rock stars and guests alike," said Marie Grimm, Director of R&D/Corporate Chef, Hard Rock International. "Burgers have been a hallmark of Hard Rock and we are thrilled that we are now making all of our burgers, including the new Legendary Burger, with Certified Angus Beef, the world's premiere brand of fresh beef."

The Certified Angus Beef brand has strict specifications that ensure the beef is consistently flavorful, juicy and tender. While some national restaurant chains serve burgers made from "Angus" beef, "Angus" simply refers to the breed of cattle and less than one in five Angus-influenced cattle pass the precise standards to earn the "Certified Angus Beef" brand. Currently, Certified Angus Beef Burgers are offered at Hard Rock and only three other restaurant chains, none of which are fast food.

Certified Angus Beef accepts only USDA Prime and the top levels of USDA Choice beef that also meet additional quality requirements, beyond the initial Angus-influenced criteria. The specifications, which ensure exceptional flavor and juiciness, mean less than 8 percent of beef qualifies as Certified Angus Beef.

The new Legendary Burger is available at all continental U.S. Hard Rock Cafe locations. Hard Rock's classic 7 oz burgers are still offered at each Cafe and are now also being be made with Certified Angus Beef.

Signature Series T-Shirt Available at Hard Rock Cafe Locations
Orlando, Fla., March 7, 2005 – Hard Rock International today unveiled its latest Signature Series T-Shirt, inspired by Bruce Springsteen. Featuring the designs of 21 musicians to date, Hard Rock Cafe’s Signature Series has raised millions of dollars for a number of charitable causes worldwide. The new Bruce Springsteen T-shirt benefits World Hunger Year (WHY) – a nonprofit organization that strives to eliminate hunger and poverty by creating and promoting innovative programs and policies.

The Springsteen T-shirt features a drawing of one of Bruce’s favorite guitars, set on a black T-shirt. The Bruce Springsteen Signature Series T-shirt is available at Hard Rock locations in Europe, the U.S. and Canada and at www.hardrock.com. The shirt comes in classic men’s sizes and, for the first time in Signature Series history, is also available in a ladies “junior baby-doll” T-shirt.

Springsteen is a member of World Hunger Year’s Artists Against Hunger & Poverty, a group of musicians who actively work to combat these two social problems. Springsteen was introduced to World Hunger Year by the late singer-songwriter Harry Chapin who founded the organization with radio talk show host and current Executive Director Bill Ayres in 1975.

“Bruce Springsteen and Hard Rock Cafe both share a social consciousness that benefits a number of charities and organizations including World Hunger Year,” said Hamish Dodds, President and Chief Executive Officer, Director of Marketing, Hard Rock International. “Hard Rock has actively supported World Hunger Year for years and we are thrilled to partner with Mr. Springsteen to raise money for a great organization that envisions a world without hunger and poverty.”

Hard Rock Cafe, committed to a wide variety of philanthropic causes and activities worldwide, developed the concept of partnering with world-renowned musicians and artists to design T-shirts for charity in 1990. For this unique venture, musicians create and donate imaginative designs to be reproduced onto T-shirts to benefit the artist’s favorite charity. Signature Series T-shirts have been designed by music superstars including Eric Clapton, Elton John, Sting, Peter Gabriel and Michael Stipe, raising millions for a wide variety of organizations, such as Crossroads Centre Antigua, the Elton John AIDS Foundation, Special Olympics and WITNESS.

This year, Hard Rock Cafe is offering both the new Bruce Springsteen Signature Series T-shirt as well as last year’s popular Eric Clapton Signature Series T-Shirt, in men’s and women’s styles.
